Fungus! Squirrel! Some Fall Scenery!

Fungus! Squirrel!  Some Fall Scenery!

All these things have almost nothing in common, except they are part of this update of pictures.
Well all that plus a spider to be exact.  All these pictures were taken in the Fall of 2013, either in October or November.

I suppose on to the pictures.

I really like this picture.  Taken facing east as the sun is setting just barely high enough to catch the tree tops.  This was taken in October near my home in 2013.

This picture isn't that great, but I included it.  To be honest not a many are good this update.  This was taken from a moving car, while I was in the passenger seat.  Taken from the highway 43 bridge that goes over Spavinaw creek in Benton County Arkansas.

Out of all the pictures in this update these two I am not even sure why I included them, but hey fungus!

Still fungus!

Hello this isn't fungus!  This is Lake Eucha in Oklahoma!

Some more pictures taken of Lake Eucha from November 2013.  Had some pretty colors for fall.

These next ones were taken up higher on the lake where the Spavinaw river flows into the lake nearby.
Another one from up on the lake.

 More still!

So I am not going to take these animals but here you can see some turtles and some type of Heron. I suppose I could do a digital zoom and crop on them, but personally I'm not a fan of that.  If the optics can't get them in a good frame, that's usually the end of the story for me.

Getting close to the end of update now.
Squirrel!
Are you still reading this blog now?  If so you probably not a dog since I just shouted
Squirrel!

Final picture of the Squirrel who got tired of me taking pictures and started to leave.
I suppose he enjoyed his old walnut though.

Final picture!   A spider in fall, you know the type.  They like to make webs so you can walk into them.  Why they wouldn't make them for any other reason of course!

The Summer of 2013

Originally planned to get this update up a bit earlier than this.   Been a hectic past few weeks though.  I also originally planned a video with this update that I had shot that summer, but I haven't really worked on that much yet.

So basically these are some pictures from the Summer of 2013. Basically got a nice Garter Snake who was in my bushes that summer, a snake hiding in a pool near a creek, and a praying mantis.

Thanks again to anyone who stops by to look at my pictures.

You might not see him in the picture above, but in the ones below will be zooming in a bit closer.

He was a fairly tiny little guy, honestly I'm a bit shocked I noticed him walking by in the evening.

                                                                       Another shot.

And then there is this one, which is probably the closest one I got that night, Didn't want to disturb him too much.

Bam Lets put a random Butterfly in between these snakes!

Ran into this one over the period of two days.  Was always hanging around in this pool
of water in a creek that was running a bit dry.

More snake! Peeking from beneath a rock.

Still hanging out here the next day!

Well on the last day decided to creep out a bit more to be seen better.

This mantis was hanging out on a T post that makes up part of my front yard fence

                                                                   Final shot of the guy!

An Assortment

This update is a small assortment from Fall 2011 to Spring 2013.   Very slowly starting to get up to more recent years of pictures.

First up is this picture from October 2011.  Of a collapsed old barn or shed in a field. Thought it made a nice picture, especially with the fall colors.

This picture is from March 2013, seems I couldn't find many pictures worth posting from 2012, but perhaps on a second look through I might find something.  I really like the full moon and the tree in this image though.

Last but not least this update is this image of a dandelion . From April of 2013.   I suppose it's time to blow and make a wish, at least that is what we did as kids.
